Earplugs for Everyday
We say these are earplugs for everyday because they are far more useful than just concerts and live music. These earplugs are designed to be comfortable to wear in most any environment, turning down the volume just a bit but being transparent enough that your interactions with others is effortless. These earplugs provide a more moderate level of noise reduction, enough to make everyday environments more comfortable while reducing the stress, anxiety, and fatigue that noise can cause. There are so many situations in everyday life that are noisier then we would like but don't require earmuff-level hearing protection. The moderate noise reduction of our Lite earplugs is perfect for social gatherings, restaurants, bars, festivals, trains, airports and flights, open offices, sporting events, playgrounds, school, etc.
What makes our earplugs different?
We set out to make earplugs that would cut the noise just enough to 'take the edge off', but be comfortable and transparent enough to let you forget you were wearing them. Earplugs that would feel like you were turning down the volume but staying present in the environment.
Designed by experts in hearing protection with consultation from leading audiologists, our earplugs are a unique combination of moderate noise-reduction coupled with a true high-fidelity acoustic response, making them the most transparent earplugs available. This transparency means that you can hear the world around you without the acoustical isolation, and you can comfortably carry on a conversation with others without having to take them out.
Why would you want less noise reduction?
The majority of 'concert' or 'high-fidelity' earplugs have noise reduction ratings (NRR) of 12 dB or more. While this can be useful for very loud environments, they are significantly more acoustically isolating which makes them a lot less useful for everyday environments. The higher level of acoustic isolation prevents comfortable conversation and can make the user feel disconnected.
While our earplugs provide perfectly appropriate hearing protection in most loud environments, they are not suitable for use in extreme-noise environments, like gun ranges, drag strips, etc.
